Jeff I am just as disappointed as you are.

Do we have anything new worth talking about?

How about showing people what great minds are within our community by exploring rather than reflecting. Look at the hot issues on this web site. All that is of any interest to our community is what makes a good tech, bacteria, endotoxins and how to get rid of them. Sure we can ride on the backs of our predecessors and describe to people--- how much has changed (hasn't that been done already at NANNT), and how much the treatment relies on our ongoing maintenance. Do you think we toot our horn too loudly? Are we just mimicking our neighbor? What really makes us worthy of professional association? Other than tech support and quality assurance what makes our profession interesting to talk about?

I do not mean to be destructive, I think its great to be reflective and to understand our path, but isnt there anything else interesting to examine? How about asking the question, why do we set the standards we adhere by? Have any tech's out there made an impact on direct patient care? Lets hear your stories supported by ground breaking scientific rational, instead of repeating what our neighbors to the south do and say.
